ALPINE KIT - FIRECRAFT WITH A LIGHTER
2. Gather materials
Dry grass, wood shavings, twigs, branches and logs.
3. Prepare tinder
Based on the conditions, choose one or more forms of tinder (plant tinder, fatwood, jute twine, Tinder-Quik) and place them in the center of your fire area once they are prepared.
4. Place Kindling
Lean kindling on top in a teepee shape.
5. Ignite
Use lighter to ignite tinder.
6. Feed the Flame
Slowly add more wood as the flame strengthens.
7. NEVER LEAVE fire unattended & Put your fire dead out!

1. Choose a safe spot
2. Gather materials
Dry grass, wood shavings, twigs, branches and logs.
3. Prepare tinder
Based on the conditions, choose one or more forms of tinder (plant tinder, fatwood, jute twine, Tinder-Quik) and place them in the center of your fire area once they are prepared.
4. Place Kindling
Lean kindling on top in a teepee shape.
5. Ignite
Hold the ferro rod on or near the tinder at an angle. Firmly scrape the striker along the rod to create sparks until tinder ignites.
6. Feed the Flame
Slowly add more wood as the flame strengthens.
7. NEVER LEAVE fire unattended & Put your fire dead out!
